Designing a Custom Report

The very first step in designing your own report is to decide what information you need on the report and in what order.

 

How do I do this?

Select an inbuilt report to make changes to rather than create a totally new report.

 

Choose the standard report that is most similar to what you need.

 

Highlight the report and click Design New.

 

The report designer will appear.

There are 6 key areas in the Report Designer.

Tool bar at the top of the screen;

The tool icons in order are

 

Close

Save report

Preview

Delete selected field

Move selection up

Move selection down

Move selection right

Move selection left

Align field tops

 

Use these tools to change the placement of selected fields on the page.
