Revs: The Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act (PAMDA) requires that a REVS Certificate be issued by the selling dealer on the sale of every used car.  The REVS Certificate number must also be noted in the dealer’s Transactions Register (police book).  Dealerlogic makes the Transactions Register entry for you based on the certificate number entered here on the transfer, so it is important that the REVS certificate number is inserted.

How do I do this?

Once you select a vehicle in a transaction, REVS will automatically use the details from the vehicle to obtain a certificate (VIN, Engine & Rego Numbers).

Click on the REVS button to make your selection.

If you choose Get Certificate, the vehicle will be added to the current REVS batch. The gateway screen will appear enabling you to conduct an immediate search and request the certificate immediately

If the REVS Certificate has been previously obtained elsewhere in the dealership, select ‘Locate Certificate.’ The gateway screen will appear and allow you to search through all past completed transactions.

Revs certificates are only valid for the day that they are processed.

Odometer: Add the current odometer reading from the vehicle as at the time of delivery

Fuel type and Cylinders are required for Stamp Duty Calculation

Market Value: Enter the correct market value from the contract of sale (stamp duty payable shows to the right of this field).  When calculating market value, remember that all items actually incorporated into the vehicle are to be included such as rustproofing, tow bar etc, whereas items not physically included in the vehicle are not to be included in the market value, such as extended warranty, dealer delivery fee etc.

Transfer date: Enter the date at which the transfer is to be effected.  This does not have to be the same as the date the transaction is being submitted.

'Yes or No’ option must be selected in the Input Tax Credit (ITC) drop down box as per customers instructions.
