Purpose of Use – Choose the appropriate Purpose of Use using the combo field. The purpose of use ties in with the type of customer, and also the CTP Class. It also has some relevance to the Concession claimed. For example, some concessions such as Pensioner cannot use their concession to claim reduced fees where the purpose of use is not private. Similarly an organisation cannot have a purpose of use of Private.
Inspection certificate refers to what is commonly known in the motor trade as a Roadworthy or Safety Certificate. A Roadworthy or Safety Certificate is required for used vehicle transfers.
Inspection certificate details must be completed with the details from the RWC you have been supplied (Certificate number and date must be entered). Safety Certificates – validity varies depending on whether used in a rego or a transfer (60 days or 2000 klm (whichever comes first) for a rego & 90 days or 1000 klm (whichever comes first) for a Transfer) •Enter the Inspection Certificate date from the certificate. This is expressed as dd/mm/yyyy. This date must be within 90 days of the transfer date for validity. •Make sure the certificate number is typed in as all the characters including Prefix and Check digit.
Concession
Always look at the ‘deal’ to check whether a concession should be claimed. If you forget it, QT won’t do it for you. Stamp Duty Exemption Always check whether a Stamp Duty Exemption should be claimed.
If the vehicle is fitted with a Gas appliance the details need to be completed on the Details tab.
