This error message occurs when trying to process an acquisition, but the details you have provided don’t match what is recorded with QT, so the person whom you are acquiring from isn’t the current registered operator.  

Don’t freak out.  

This happens frequently, and normally it’s because you have sold the vehicle prior to it being acquired by your dealership.  The first thing you should do is confirm that the CRN you are using is correct, and you will do this by processing a CRN Check.  Depending on the situation, you will be advised the best solution to process your acquisition.  This could be to confirm vendor details as the CRN/names don’t match, contact your vendor as they have not acquired yet or to process a DTN as another dealer has acquired over you.  It is very important that you receive confirmation from Dealer Solutions Client Service to confirm the best course of action.

 

It is important to remember that you need to investigate WHY you are receiving this error and DO NOT UN-TICK the Seller is Current Owner check box without having a discussion with the Dealer Solutions Client Service team first.
