Maintaining Stock Locate

It is very important that you maintain your stock locate.  Dealer solutions recommend that you go through your current ‘in stock vehicles’ at least once a month to ensure that what your system is reflecting as currently in stock is actually in stock.  

This is very important as it will ensure you are maintaining an accurate police book record.

Processing a DAIS transaction (either a registration or a transfer) will automatically update a stock card to a sold status, however there are situations where the status may need to be reversed or manually set to sold.  These are discussed below.  It is important that the stock locate is periodically reconciled so that the in stock listing represents the physical in stock vehicles at your dealership.
