Dealerlogic is changed and updated frequently.
We recommend that you perform a program update from Dealerlogic on a regular basis.
If you have not performed the program update and the software expiry date has passed, then the program will become ‘Read-Only’ which means you won’t be able to enter any data until you perform an update.
When performing the program update you should ensure all other users have exited the program, this is a very important step as whoever does the update needs to have exclusive use of some files. The update itself is done from the Dealerlogic Button:
When the program update has been completed you will need to exit the program completely (including the suite manager) before going back into the program. This will update the files and give you a new program expiry date.
Virus Protection
We recommend that all computers with either network or Internet connections (which includes email) have a current and easily updated Virus protection program installed on them. The incidence of computers being ‘wiped out’ by viruses is alarmingly high. .
